Bitter gourd, or karela in Hindi, is relished for its benefits and despised for its bitter taste.It is an excellent source of vitamins B1, B2, and B3, C, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, manganese, and has high dietary fiber. It is rich in iron, and contains twice the beta-carotene of broccoli, twice the calcium of spinach, and twice the potassium of a banana. can you imagine a tasty dish out of this bitter Karela??So here is the perfect combination of health and taste  😋


Ingredients
  • Grated bitter gourd (karela) , unpeeled- 20 grams
  • Grated carrot 🥕- 10 grams
  • Boiled and coarsely mashed green peas - 10 grams
  • Crumbled low-fat paneer- 15 grams
  • Finely chopped coriander- 10 grams
  • Multigrain bread crumbs- 5 grams
  • Green chilli paste - 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder- 1 tsp
  • Oil for greasing and cooking- 5 grams
  • Salt to taste
  • Method
    • 1. Coat a bit of salt onto the bitter gourd, mix all well and keep it            aside for 2 to 3 minutes. Squeeze the water from it and keep it          aside.

    • 2. Now, combine bitter gourd, green peas, carrot, paneer, coriander,      bread crumbs, dried mango powder, green chilli paste and salt in      a bowl and mix it all well.

    • 3. Divide the mixture in equal portions and shape each portion into        round flat tikkis.
    • 4. Heat up a non-stick tava and grease it using few drops of oil.
    •       5. Cook each tikki with minimal drops of oil till the time it turns golden             brown from both the sides.


    •          6. Serve karela tikkis hot, along with green chutney.
