Makhana Kheer In India, these Lotus seeds are commonly ref erred to as Makhana. Usually people consume it during their fasts or even use it as an ingredient in Indian cuisines or sweet dishes. However, not many people are aware of its health benefits and nutritional value. Lotus seeds are low in cholesterol, saturated fat and sodium . They are an extremely good source of manganese, potassium,magnesium,  thiamine ,   protein ,  phosphorus  and calcium.  Serving: 4 Preparation  Time : 10 min Cooking Time : 1 hour Ingredients : Milk – 2 Lt Makhana-  1 cup Sugar – 2 tbsp Pistachio - 1 tsp  (grated) Cashew  – 1 tsp  (chopped) Almond – 1 tsp  (grated) Saffron – 1/4 tsp Cardamom  powder – 1/2 tsp Method : Take a non stick pan and pour milk in it.
